Accelerated Bacterial Identification and Phenotypic Susceptibility Tests

Our mission is to improve healthcare through high-quality In-Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) products that enhance the clinician's ability to effectively treat patients. In treating bacterial infections, our products can greatly reduce the time between clinical need and clinically actionable results. The value of our products is measured by improved patient outcomes, reduced mortality rates, reduced hospital length of stay and enhanced antibiotic stewardship.

MicroPhage Product Line Strategy: MicroPhage is developing a line of IVD tests for bacterial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing (ID/AST). Diagnostic tests will diagnose disease and support antibiotic selection for patients with infections. Screening tests will be used to test large patient populations, typically in the hospital, for colonization by significant bacterial pathogens.

KeyPath Pathogen Tests
The KeyPath MRSA/MSSA Blood Culture Test – BT is both FDA-cleared and bears the CE mark for sale within and outside the U.S. This test identifies Staphylococcus aureus, and determines its methicillin susceptibility (MSSA) or methicillin resistance (MRSA) directly from positive blood cultures, five-and-a-half hours after Gram stain of GPC or GPCC.

Future KeyPath pathogen tests will detect from one to three key bacterial pathogens and determine clinically important antibiotic susceptibilities. Actionable results can be available in hours versus days.

Multiple Pathogen / Multiple Antibiotic Test Panels
Building on the KeyPath product line technology, this product line will deliver comprehensive test panels for multiple pathogens and drugs. These panels will be disease- and sample-specific to fit clinical need and laboratory workflow. Each will deliver results for a number of the most clinically significant bacterial pathogens and the associated antibiotics necessary to determine susceptibility and resistance.
