R. Gary Mesch
Chief Executive Officer

Mr.
R. Gary Mesch is the new Chief Executive Officer of MicroPhage
as of October 2007. Mr. Mesch has also served as the MicroPhage
Chairman since June 2007. Mr. Mesch comes to MicroPhage as the
current managing director of Alpine Angels, a Vail Valley-based
angel investment group that organizes financing for and advises
start-up technology companies. Mr Mesch is also an active director
of several start-up companies funded through Alpine Angels members.
Mr. Mesch has been the founder and Managing Director of several
successful data and telecom companies operating in the U.S.
and Europe and has been instrumental in launching several other
start-up enterprises. Mr. Mesch founded VersaTel telecom in
1995 in Amsterdam and served as CEO and then Chairman until
2002. VersaTel grew to become the second facilities based telecom
operator throughout The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. In
2005 Versatel was purchased by Tele2 of Sweden and Apax Partners
for $1.5 billion. Previous to VersaTel, Mr. Mesch as Managing
Director of Open Skies, Inc., a telecom consulting company based
in Amsterdam, advised European telecom operators on launching
innovative services. From 1984 to 1990 he was co-founder of
Nova-Net communications, Inc. a Denver-based nationwide data
network provider that was sold to ICG, a Denver-based CLEC telecom
company. Mr Mesch holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from
the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of
Denver.

John
H. Wheeler

Mr. Wheeler
brings 30 years of business experience in the biomedical and
diagnostics fields to the Company. Prior to founding MicroPhage
Incorporated , Mr. Wheeler founded Xtrana, Inc.(NASDAQ:XTRN)
as its President and CEO, a molecular diagnostics company specializing
in nucleic acid extraction and detection. Previous to Xtrana,
he served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business
Development at Xenometrix, Inc. a molecular toxicology company,
from 1993 to 1997. From 1992 to 1993, Mr. Wheeler was Director
of Sales and Marketing for Research Biochemicals, Ltd. and from
1987 to 1992, Mr. Wheeler was employed by Charles River Laboratories
where he held positions including Director of Operations and
Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to 1987, he held
positions in sales, marketing and strategic business planning
both in the United States and Europe with Becton Dickinson Company.
Mr. Wheeler received his M.B.A. from Pace University, New York
in 1986 and his B.A. in biology from the University of Bridgeport
in 1970. Mr. Wheeler currently serves as the Chair of the Colorado
BioScience Association (CBSA), representing over 100 Colorado
companies.

Drew Smith, Ph.D.

Dr. Smith
comes to MicroPhage with experience leading diagnostic assays
while at SomaLogic, Inc., a Boulder, CO based medical diagnostics
firm. While at SomaLogic, Dr. Smith served as Director of aptamer
development and senior research fellow where he worked on optimizing
and automatizing the PhotoSELEX process, development of methods
for detection of serum proteins by aptamer microarrays, and
development of multiplexed aptamer microarray assays for detection
of serum protein disease signatures. Dr. Smith is also a founding
scientist at NeXagen and a principal scientist at Nexstar, both
aptamer-based biotechnology companies based in Boulder, CO.
Just prior to joining MicroPhage, Dr. Smith was at Aptamer NanoTechnologies,
LLC, a company which he founded, working on developing proprietary
DNA photoswitch technology for use in light-directed drug delivery.
Dr. Smith has 17 patents to his credit in aptamer-based diagnostics
and related areas. He earned his Ph.D. in 1988 on the genetic
analysis of transfer RNA structure and translational kinetics
at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He earned his B.A. in
Biology at University of California, Santa Cruz in 1981.

Scott
Conlin
Marketing Director

Mr. Conlin
is a founding employee of MicroPhage, Inc., who started in June
2003 when the company was first located at the Colorado School
of Mines. Mr. Conlin is responsible for the areas of Marketing,
Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Reimbursement Planning,
and Information Technology for MicroPhage, making him more than
the typical Marketing Director. Mr. Conlin comes to MicroPhage
from the Boston, Massachusetts area where he served as Director
of Marketing and Research for Quincy College, a public city
chartered college. While at the College, Mr. Conlin taught as
an adjunct instructor for courses in Marketing, Computer Science,
and Design. His previous positions include Branch Manager and
Marketing Coordinator at Hertz Local Edition as well as manager
of People's Market, a natural foods cooperative specialty market.
Mr. Conlin's undergraduate studies are in biochemistry and human
nutrition while at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Mr. Conlin currently serves on the Colorado Biosciences Association
(CBSA) Programs Committee and the Advanced Medical Technology
Association (AdvaMed) Emerging Growth Company Council.

Michael
Fiechtner, Ph.D.
Director, Product Development

Dr. Fiechtner
has more than 25 years of research and product development experience
in the diagnostics and life sciences industries. Immediately
prior to joining MicroPhage, he was Principal Scientist at BD
Rapid Diagnostics, where he helped establish a new R&D facility
in San Diego. Previously he served as Director of Product Development
for proteomic applications at Genicon Sciences, and for DNA
probe assays at Nanogen, Inc. As Principal Scientist at Biosite,
Inc., Dr. Fiechtner was responsible for the development of key
components of the Triage Cardiac system. He also served as an
Adjunct Lecturer in the Chemistry Department at the University
of San Diego. From 1981 to 1993, Dr. Fiechtner held various
research and development positions in the Diagnostics Division
of Abbott Laboratories, where he developed an automated assay
for glycated hemoglobin, widely used in diabetes monitoring.
He earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Illinois
at Chicago, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University
of Rochester. Dr. Fiechtner has been awarded 6 U.S. patents
and several foreign patents.
