| Mr. Mooney joined MicroPhage, Inc. as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2011. Before joining MicroPhage, Mr. Mooney served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Proteogenix Inc., an infectious disease start up dealing in high risk pregnancy. Prior to Proteogenix, Mr. Mooney served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Focus Diagnostics, Inc., an infectious disease company with both laboratory services and global diagnostics products. Mr. Mooney helped engineer the acquisition of Focus by Quest Diagnostics in July 2006. Prior to joining Focus Diagnostics, he held positions as President of B&L Surgical Group, VP Commercial Operations Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, a J&J Company, and VP Marketing Operations at Ciba Corning/Chiron Diagnostics. Mr. Mooney has been responsible for the successful launch of many medical device platforms and brings experience in strategic planning and marketing from both medical device and diagnostic companies, and has an exceptional track record in full line functional responsibility, strategy innovation, integrating organizations, identifying and negotiating business alliances, and changing organizational culture to leverage market dynamics. Mr. Mooney is also serves on the Board of Directors of Novx Systems Inc., a venture-backed health sciences company that provides a complete powerful drug screening solution. | |

J. Drew Smith, PhD | Chief Science Officer |
| Dr. Smith comes to MicroPhage with experience leading diagnostic assays while at SomaLogic, Inc., a Boulder, CO based medical diagnostics firm. While at SomaLogic, Dr. Smith served as Director of Aptamer Development and Senior Research Fellow where he worked on optimizing and automatizing the PhotoSELEX process, development of methods for detection of serum proteins by aptamer microarrays, and development of multiplexed aptamer microarray assays for detection of serum protein disease signatures. Dr. Smith is also a founding scientist at NeXagen and a principal scientist at Nexstar, both aptamer-based biotechnology companies based in Boulder, CO. Just prior to joining MicroPhage, Dr. Smith was at Aptamer NanoTechnologies, LLC, a company that he founded, working on developing proprietary DNA photoswitch technology for use in light-directed drug delivery. Dr. Smith has 17 patents to his credit in aptamer-based diagnostics and related areas. He earned his PhD in 1988 on the genetic analysis of transfer RNA structure and translational kinetics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He earned his BA in biology at University of California, Santa Cruz in 1981. | |

Brian MacDonald | Vice President, Sales and Marketing |
| Brian brings to MicroPhage 19 years of sales and marketing experience in clinical laboratory and research markets in the areas of molecular, chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, genetic and infectious disease diagnostics. From October 2004 until May of 2010 Brian served as Director and Vice President of North American Sales for Cepheid, a leading manufacturer of molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases. Under his leadership sales grew from less than $20 million to $95 million with significant impact in products for the detection of hospital acquired infections. From 2000 to 2004 Brian served as the Sales Director for Applied Imaging, the leading manufacturer of cytogenetic and molecular image analysis systems. Before joining Applied Imaging, Brian held numerous sales and marketing management positions with the Abbott Diagnostics Division of Abbott Laboratories. Brian earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. | |

Preston Brown | Manufacturing Director |
| Mr. Brown comes to MicroPhage with over 18 years of diagnostic medical device and biotech manufacturing and supply chain management experience. Mr. Brown has extensive experience in start-up and high growth organizations implementing manufacturing and quality systems. Immediately prior to joining MicroPhage, Mr. Brown served as Director of Operations at Advanced Energy. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Brown served as Director of Manufacturing for BioArray Solutions. From 1999 to 2005, he was employed by Amgen where he held positions including Production Planning and Inventory Control Manager, Logistics Manager and Associate Director of Supply Chain Management. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Brown held various positions of increasing responsibility at Ventana Medical Systems, including Planning Manager, Sr. Manager of Reagent Manufacturing and ERP Implementation Manager. Mr. Brown earned his BS in Operations Management and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. He is certified in Production and Inventory Management by APICS, the Association for Operations Management and has earned the credentials of Certified Lean Master (CLM) from the International Supply Chain Educational Alliance (ISCEA). | |

Michelle Dowling | Quality Director |
| Michelle Dowling comes to MicroPhage with over 17 years of biotech manufacturing experience. Michelle has extensive experience working with quality systems, microbiology quality laboratories, aseptic processing, start up manufacturing and process development. Prior to joining MicroPhage, she was at Amgen since 1995 as the Senior Manager of Quality Systems. From 1991 to 1995, she worked for Synergen, Inc. (now Amgen) in the areas of process development and manufacturing. Michelle holds a BS in Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in New Jersey. | |
